Kamal Haasan’s new website launched by GV Prakash
Actor and music director GV Prakash Kumar on Saturday launched the web version of Kamal Haasan’s Naame Theervu initiative, a new public welfare drive to resurrect Chennai from the grapple of COVID-19.
Kamal Haasan had launched the Naame Theervu (we are the solution) scheme and sought the help of volunteers to move Chennai from red to green zone and said that it is a movement by the people and for the people.
The Vishwaroopam star in his press notes had said: “With 5700 volunteers who have joined the initiative now and received more than 57000 petitions seeking help, I thought of commencing the website Naametheervu.org would be the right option, which will make things easier. The website is also designed in such a way that navigation is made simpler. Meanwhile, the volunteers would commence work as soon as possible. People can also contribute grocery packs along with sanitary items to keep families safe and comfortably homebound.”
Ulaganayagan also thanked GV Prakash for his gesture and the latter tweeted, “Happy to launch the website of #NaameTheervu a unique plan to help people, help each other. Our city needs more helping hands and support right now. Join hands in this and Let’s make Chennai green and safe again.”
