“Mirattal” leading lady tested positive for COVID-19

Sharmiela Mandre who made her debut in Vinay’s “Mirattal” has been tested positive for COVID-19 along with a few members in the family. She made her debut in Kannada film industry with Sajni, featuring Dhyan in the lead role. Later, she went on to garner good response for her performances in films like Kevvu Keka, Kari Chirathe, and Dhan Dhana Dhan.She also dabbled as a producer with Tamil film Evanakku Engeyo Matcham Irruku, a remake of Telugu comedy Guntur Talkies. Two of her Tamil productions Sandakkari and Naanum Single Thaan are awaiting for the release post lockdown.

On Thursday (September 3), Sharmiela Mandre took to social media to reveal the news and said that she is currently undergoing treatment. She also said that a few of her family members showing mild symptoms and are currently in isolation.The actress and her family have quarantined themselves at home and are undergoing treatment for COVID-19. She tweeted that she is going through a prescribed treatment as per the doctor’s advice. Sharing the news on her social media handles, the actress wrote, “Hi everybody , Me and a few of my family members have been tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms and hence chosen to be in home isolation . I have quarantined myself and going through the prescribed treatment as per my doctor’s advice.” She also noted – “Never expected this, But ready to fight it! #killcoronatogether!”
